Shape & Style - Designed by Aldo Navarro, Alaska Adventure model 83S is a large rectangular square-like metal sunglass frame with an unusual rendition of the classic double bridge. The front part of the plastic temples are in metal and the outside of the left temple has the "Alaska Adventure" logo.

Color - Available in antique black with black temples and gray lenses (color 03); gold with tortoise top bar, antique blond temples, and brown lenses (color 05); and antique gold with black temples and brown lenses (color 06). The black frame (color 03) has uneven spots of gold in it and the antique gold (color 06) has uneven spots of black in it. This coloring creates an antiquated look that was particularly stylish in the 1970s. 

Dimensions - Lens width: 56 mm; lens height: 44 mm; bridge: 18 mm; temples: 135 mm; total width: 139 mm. Lenses are high quality CR39 with 100% UV400 protection.

General - Made in Italy in the 1990s  and part of a liquidation sale of great quality unused 'new old stock' (NOS) -- direct from the manufacturer.
